Nice live food culture or shrimp friend. Fry/fish egg safe. I keep them with my killifish & ricefish eggs to keep them clean. Their movement can also help weaken stubborn shells. Has been particularly helpful with my procatapus.

Not sure of the exact species, but pretty sure it's a North American Asellidae, Lirceus sp.
