5" wide x 7" long x 3.5" tall, this combines two concepts I was exploring, the placement of java moss on driftwood to create "trees" and sub-substrate filtration systems. This tree itself was made to resemble the twisting of mangrove trees and the "knees" which produce new branches from the roots. It was made hollow, moss is bunched around clay spike clusters, and the roots all contain small airholes throughout. One "root" is an open hole where a larger air tube could be attached to a filter, pulling water through the root system of the tree and into the filtration system. Alternately, it could be used as a bubbler using the same principles in reverse. No fishing line was used in holding the plants in place.
