Parosphromenus gunawani

Bettas and labyrinth fish, lot number 34
Bred by this user

The parents of these fish were imported in 2024 as P. gunawani "Blue Line Licorice Gourami."

Licorice gouramis are very small, peaceful fish. This species grows to about 1.5" and I keep a group of 4 together in an 5.5 gallon tank. This is a blackwater species which will only thrive in RO water with added leaves or other botanicals. They mostly ignore flake food but are happy on a diet of worms, bbs, or frozen food.

Almost all Parosphromenus species are confined to very small habitats and highly at risk of extinction in the wild. The attached link provides more details about species preservation.

Auction is for 6 fry between 1/2" and 3/4" long.
