Pseudomugil cyanodorsalis - 8 blue eyes

Rainbowfish, lot number 209
Bred by this user

This is a rare fish from Australia. Basically a tiny rainbowfish, but this one's twist is that it thrives in brackish water, about 1/2 of seawater. They eat fine flakes and I feed them bbs as well, which live for days in this water so it's hard to overfeed the bbs. I have had this species for over a decade and found it tolerant of fresh water for days, but not long term. The literature says they are sometimes found in pools that are hypersaline (more salty than seawater) in the wild.

You will receive 8 juveniles that are about half grown at maybe 0.6 inch.
