This is a small tetra (barely over an inch as adults) which is mostly silver.  What makes it visually interesting are the fin extensions on the male (see photo), and it also has distinguishing black-and-white markings around the caudal peduncle.

This is a bag of five juveniles - already showing their prominent black and white markings, but not yet showing dimorphism.
