1 x Gallon Bucket of Corkscrew Val

You will be given this ice cream bucket full of corkscrew val as is, plants will not be removed.

I will find a cover for it.

Currently kept in outdoor mini pond so may contain:
Pond Snails
Ramshorn snails
Scuds
Duckweed
Dwarf Water Lettuce
Cherry shrimp
Rice fish eggs

Pros:

• Rooted plant with distinctive spiral leaves, adds height/movement in the background
• Tends to spread on its own by runners once established
• Often does okay in low to moderate light without CO2 in many tanks
• Can help take up nutrients from both water and substrate
• Provides cover along the back wall that fish and shrimp tend to use
• Usually tolerates a range of hardness

Cons:

• Can grow tall and may need trimming or thinning
• Initial melting after planting or shipping is fairly common, regrowth can take time
• Runners can spread into places you didn't plan, can be hard to contain
• Tends to dislike liquid carbon / glutaraldehyde products - some tanks report melting
• Growth rate varies a lot with substrate and light - can be slow at first
• Leaves can collect algae if light/nutrients are out of balance
