1 x Full Gallon Bag of HORN WORT

Currently kept in outdoor mini ponds so may contain:
Pond Snails
Ramshorn snails
Scuds
Duckweed
Dwarf water lettuce
Cherry shrimp

Pros:

• Tends to grow fast in a wide range of water conditions
• Helps reduce excess nutrients, which can mean less algae for many tanks
• Produces oxygen during light hours
• Can be floated or left loosely anchored, doesn't need to be rooted in substrate
• Generally considered low-demand - often does okay without CO2 or high light
• Provides cover that shrimp and fry tend to use

Cons:

• Known to shed needles/leaves, especially after shipping, trimming, or parameter changes
• Doesn't grow true roots, so it can be hard to keep planted and may drift
• Can grow quickly enough to shade other plants if not trimmed
• Loose pieces can get pulled into filters or make the tank look messy
• Some tanks report it slows growth of nearby plants - debated, but possible
• Brittle stems can break apart when handled
