This is a small mouthbrooding Betta from Borneo. Males turn a deep red with black margins, but of course I photographed mine while he was holding and showing drab, camo colors.
I kept a pair together in soft water in an 8 gallon tank; the got along fine. So far I don't see any combat among the fry either; this species seems to be fairly peaceful.
Auction is for 5 half-sized fry, 1" or a bit under.
