The Tequila Sunrise guppy (Poecilia reticulata) is a popular and hardy freshwater fish known for its vibrant orange, yellow, and red coloration. It is an ideal fish for beginners, known for its active, peaceful nature and ease of care. This fish was very popular when I started in the fish hobby in the 70's but much harder to find now. The do great outdoors in the summer and the color is specular.  

• Colors: The Tequila Sunrise guppy typically displays a striking gradient of yellow, orange, and red, with males exhibiting the most vibrant patterns and larger tail fins.
• Size: Males grow to about 1.5 to 2 inches long, while females are slightly larger.
• Tail: The Delta tail variant, named for its triangular "delta-shaped" tail, is especially prized. 

• Tank size: A minimum tank size of 10 gallons is recommended for a small group. Since they are active swimmers and prolific breeders, a larger tank of 20 to 50 gallons is even better to accommodate their population growth.
• Water parameters:
  • Temperature: 72–82°F (22–28°C)
  • pH: 6.8–7.8
  • Hardness: Guppies prefer harder water with a dKH of 8–12.
