Breeding Pair: Pelvicachromis Kribensis

Cichlids - Old World, lot number 63-B-3

A proven breeding pair of the classic Pelvicachromis Kribensis. One of the best dwarf cichlid's in my opinion. I find them to be good community members and fantastic parents with fun behaviors. They also have been great for keeping the sand stirred up as they pick through it all day (they do a sort of semi-sand sifting). My Kribs also enjoy helping eat up that plant material that falls especially from floating plants. If they have fry you'll seen them take little field trips up to the top to eat off the plants all day.

Pictures are of the actual pair. The tank I have them in is dimly lit so they have been edited for brightness + clarity. The female has a nice gold color to her and the male has really been growing out those fins!

This pair has bred for me before and had a nice sized batch of fry.
