Polar Parrot cichlids are a remarkable species, containing both breathtaking colors as well as highly entertaining behaviors. With their stark whites and glistening blues, you'll never miss this showstopping fish. Polar Parrots require a tank minimum of 30 gallons, water that's 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit, along with a PH level of 6.5-8. They are super easy to feed, only needing some nice quality cichlid pellets or flakes (though the babies will need something smaller, baby brine shrimp is my personal favorite). They enjoy having avid space to swim, or a beautifully aquascaped aquarium to reside in, but be warned, these guys can be excavators! This pair consists of a blue (male) and platinum (female) polar parrot, though, in the several batches they've had, the blue polar genes prevail. Since they are breeding, these guys would do best having a family tank, consisting of only the parents and fry, as they get protective of their offspring. Overall these fish are a dazzling, easy to care for duo who are wonderful for both beginning and experienced aquarists!
