Undescribed rare, small (1–1.5 inches), and peaceful freshwater tetra known for its deep red coloration, which intensifies with maturity. Ideal for planted nano tanks, they are hardy schooling fish, best kept in groups of 6+ to reduce shyness. They prefer slightly acidic water and accept varied diets. 

Water Conditions: Thrives in temperatures of 72-78F, a pH of 6.0–7.5, and soft to medium hardness.

Tank Setup: Prefers planted tanks with, Anubias, Cryptocorynes, and floating plants to mimic their natural habitat.

Diet: Omnivorous. They feed on high-quality flakes, small pellets, frozen daphnia, brine shrimp, and cyclops.

Behavior: Peaceful and active schoolers, suitable for community tanks with other small tetras, rasboras, Corydoras, and Otocinclus.

Sexing: Males are generally larger and have more intense red, especially during breeding, often displaying more intense color than females.

Origin: Often linked to the Mato Grosso region of Brazil.
