Original beautiful 55 gallon Meta Frame with original top(s) and stand. Very heavy bring help to load. This is one of the slate bottom tanks. Glass is also thick times two on these tanks. You may want to partial test fill the old slate is secured by something called bitumen. There are recipies for recreating this old precurser to modern day silicone online. Another option may be to put a second bottom of glass with glass to glass silicone. My understanding is silicone won't stick glass directly to slate at least not long term. Unsure if the lights work they are old flourescent you may want to replace with L.E.D. inserts any ways.
This one really does not show a lot of old rust like many of these old surviving tanks if you see them. The minimum bid will be set at $50 call it a delivery fee. LOL. I can't remember the name of the since closed local fish shop in Minneapolis but I remember seeing one for asking price for something like over $1000 for a 55 Metaframe. Hopefully someone can actually restore this and use it. Its a beauty in my opinion.
