16 Gal Bioactive Paludarium

Terrestrial plants, lot number 347-1

This piece is a made-from-scratch unique build made from a 16 gal bowfront tank. It was first established in April 2022 and has been growing and growing since then. It has been largely untouched (other than feeding the few splitfins that lived in the pond half) for the past 4+ months as I have been buried by health and personal issues, thusly I feel it is bringing me stress as I watch it become wildly overgrown. I would love if it could bring somebody else joy instead. Keep it as is, trim it back, or pull it all and start from scratch, do as you please, I will include a few pics from the construction phase so you can see the skeleton.

I would estimate it has around a 5 gallon capacity on the bottom half (eco complete substrate) for aquatic species and a densely planted terrestrial platform (with drainage, bioactive substrate, and included springtail population) on top. Circulation pump is hidden within access column in the back left, this is also where I put the heater (heater I had in here before recently expired), the circulation pump spills out of the top left, where it flows across a thick carpet of Monte Carlo.

Plants that I remember putting in it: assorted terrestrial mosses, java fern (used aquatic and terrestrial), pink flamingo bromeliad, silver tears, Monte Carlo (grown terrestrially from tissue culture), small creeping fig, several types of primitive ferns, golden/creeping Jenny, and others I can't recall

Includes; tank, plexiglass/acrylic lid, mini circulation pump, bioactive substrate, aquatic substrate (CaribSea Eco Complete) and all plants. LIGHT SEEN IN PICTURES NOT INCLUDED IN SALE.

I will drain as much water as I can for transport :)
