This is a group of 5 Julidochromis Transcriptus small juveniles. 5/8" that I bred. All of the pictures are of the actual fish and the actual breeding pair. They are probably the smallest of any of the Juli's. The breeding male is only 2 1/2" and the female 3". The females will only get about 3 1/2". They are breeding happily in a 20 gallon long tank by themselves. If you want to breed them they are best raised in the group and they will pair off on their own. They breed in pairs. They're probably the most entertaining Africans I've bred and I've had them from Frontosa to Maswa Duboisi to Zebras. They are unique the way they pick their mate and only breed with them. They protect and don't eat the fry. The bigger fry don't eat the new fry. They swim upside down at times under a cave remaining parallel with the surface. I will try to post the video I made of them breeding in the cave with the fry. If it doesn't accept it I can send it to you after the sale. My breeding pair are probably about a year old.

Good Luck
