2 x L401 Alenquer King Tiger Pleco

Plecostomus, lot number 220

The L401 Alenquer Royal King Tiger Pleco (Hypancistrus sp.) is a beautifully patterned dwarf pleco known for its bold black body accented with crisp white to yellow tiger‑like striping. In the home aquarium, it is mostly nocturnal and secretive, spending daylight hours tucked into caves and crevices, while becoming more active after dark and showing mild territorial behavior toward other plecos. This species thrives in clean, well‑oxygenated water with strong filtration, rocky décor, and a protein‑rich diet. In nature, the L401 Alenquer Tiger Pleco is found in the lower Amazon River region near Alenquer, Brazil, inhabiting fast‑moving, warm waters with rocky substrates and plenty of hiding places.
