4 x Apistogramma baenschi AKA Inka50

Cichlids - South American, lot number 231

This lot of 4 is for small young juveniles, sex cannot be guaranteed or well-determined at this stage.

Apistogramma baenschi, commonly known as the Inka 50 Apisto, is a striking dwarf cichlid admired for its bright yellow body, contrasting dark facial markings, and elegant fin extensions, especially in males. In the home aquarium, it is relatively peaceful for an apistogramma, showing mild territorial behavior during breeding while otherwise coexisting well with calm tankmates in well‑structured setups. This species is known for engaging courtship displays and strong parental care, making it rewarding to observe. In nature, Apistogramma baenschi is native to the upper Amazon basin of northern Peru, where it inhabits warm, soft, acidic blackwater streams rich in leaf litter and submerged wood.
