8 x small Turquoise Discus

Cichlids - South American, lot number 234

This lot of 8 is for young juveniles, sex cannot be guaranteed at this stage.  The ones being offered have not developed their color yet.

Turquoise Discus (Symphysodon species) are large, laterally compressed cichlids celebrated for their round shape, graceful movement, and rich red coloration that makes them a centerpiece fish in freshwater aquariums. In the home aquarium, they are peaceful, intelligent, and social, thriving best in groups where they display calm schooling behavior and form strong pair bonds when breeding. Discus require pristine water conditions, warm temperatures, and a stress‑free environment, rewarding attentive care with striking color and elegant behavior. In nature, red discus originate from the Amazon River basin, where they inhabit slow‑moving, warm, soft‑water blackwater environments rich in submerged wood and leaf litter.
