Medaka Ricefish

Misc and oddball fish, lot number 498

Captive-bred Medaka Ricefish (Oryzias latipes) — one of the most charming and easy-to-keep nano fish available. These active little fish are full of personality and look fantastic in planted tanks, outdoor tubs, or nano setups. Extremely hardy and adaptable, tolerating a wide range of temperatures (64–82°F) and water parameters (pH 6.5–8.0). An excellent choice for beginners and experienced keepers alike. Happily accepts crushed flake, micro pellets, and small live or frozen foods. Breeds readily in captivity with minimal effort. A wonderful community fish that stays small (~1.5").
