I will throw in some shells as well with the 4 multis
Size:
Males reach about 2 inches, females are smaller (1-1.25 inches).
Appearance:
Tan bodies with many thin, vertical brown stripes; males may develop orange-yellow on their dorsal fin.
Habitat:
Native to Lake Tanganyika, they live in and around empty snail shells on sandy lake bottoms.
Aquarium Care
Tank:
A 20-gallon long or larger is recommended for a colony, with a focus on bottom space.
Substrate:
Fine sand is essential for digging and shell manipulation.
Decor:
Provide many empty shells (e.g., apple snail shells) for them to live in.
Water:
Hard, alkaline water (pH 7.5-9.0) is ideal, mimicking Lake Tanganyika.
Temperature:
75-81°F (24-27°C).
