- 1/2 gallon glass jar with sand + lava rocks

-brackish water (1.010 specific gravity)

- 6 Opae Ula aka Hawaiian Volcano Shrimp (Halocaridina rubra)

These are extremely low maintenance shrimp that require no heat or filtration. I’ve had over 70 living in a half gallon jar before I split them up to make more jars. 

They require food only once per month. Use a small shrimp pellet and feed 1 pellet per 3 shrimp.

Top-Off evaporation with RO or Distilled Water only!
