This plant is so big it grew up out of the water. The leaves turn a shade of dark red with emergent growth, they are not dying, thankyouverymuch. There's some needle leaf java fern in here (actually, it may all be, the leaf structure changes when it grows out of the water and makes it hard to tell).

It'll adapt just fine to submersed growth.

This is a spectacularly huge clump that will make a great centerpiece in your tank!
