Bloody Mary Shrimp #2

Shrimp, lot number 819-22
Bred by this user

These are a wonderful strain of neocaridina shrimp. Unlike the red cherry shrimp that are common in the hobby, these have clear shells and the red color comes from the body of the shrimp itself. This means two things:

  1. The coloration is absolutely striking
  2. Like the blue shrimp and most others who coloration is determined by body color, they breed 95%+ true!

One of the pics on this lot is a comparison showing a good representative picture of my colony of painted fire red shrimp with these. It's as honest as I can make it -- the PFRs are very nice, but bloody marys are just a bit better with a deeper shade of red.

These are every bit as prolific as other neo shrimp, and are quite hardy -- some would say cockroach like -- once established.
