Apistogramma Borellii trio

Cichlids - South American, lot number 162
Bred by this user

This lot contains 1 Male and 2 Female Apistogramma Borellii

The fish are adults (2-3 inches) and ready to spawn. Both Females produced eggs/fry a week ago. the fish were purchased at a store sometime ago but they bred many fry since then.

In my opinion, the easiest apistogramma to breed. especially with having access to mostly hard water. cave spawner, used the apisto cave huts from cobalt but they can breed in other caves, on plants, and leaves as well. RO water and catappa leaves work best to condition water. Great entry fish if you are interested in breeding apistos.

As a small tank centerpiece fish, very hardy and can be kept in a wide range of parameters. Can be kept in harder water and cooler than other apistos. I have kept them in pH close to 7 and 75 - 80 F.

Great peaceful south american dwarf cichlid. currently housed with endlers and can be kept with other similar nano tank species. They can also live in community tanks i.e. neon tetra, emperor tetra, glowlight tetra, cherry barbs etc. Currently the females all have their separate 10 gallon tank but the fish can be kept together in a longer planted tank.

Also known as yellow dwarf cichlid or umbrella cichlid.
