Likely an Ephydatia species, which is commonly found in Florida. There's a good reddit on the subject below. In case you're wondering, freshwater sponges are animals, not plants or fungi. Lot will include various life stages and "spores" if available. It grows especially well on sponge filters where it gets lots of oxygen and nutrients.
