Yukihikari-variant rice is a short-grained, lowland brown rice originally bred in Hokkaido, Japan, which is has a similar climate to Vermont. Cold-tolerant with and quick growing, can be planted outside between mid- to end of May and will be ready to harvest end of August/beginning of September. Easily grown in a 5 gallon bucket, can be grow submerged which makes it super easy to care for (suppresses weeds) and a unique addition to an outdoor bond.

Includes home-assembled trays that make it easy to sprout your plants for next year with this year's harvest!
