Chu Chu lotus

Aquatic plants, lot number 968-2
Bred by this user

Ready to be overwintered! I harvested this one with the "Harvest Tubers and Store Indoor Method" in mind, explained here: https://pondlotus.com/pages/overwintering-lotus-plant-care I haven't done any bleach, etc treatments on this one yet. If you can find a good spring mix-type container to put it in to protect the tips from breaking, that's the ideal container, but this wasn't the right fit for the container I had in mind, so it will be in a gallon ziploc. This cutting is similar to the lotus cutting I bought this spring at the NEC auction, but it's one big piece instead of two slightly smaller pieces; I got two flowers and a lot of leaves from that one over the summer. "Chu Chu" might get its name from an onomatopoeia for "kiss kiss".
