Blushing angelfish

Cichlids - South American, lot number 624-59

Blushing angelfish have two Stripeless (S/S) genes, causing a pinkish blush over their gills in youth due to translucent gill plates. As they mature, the blush may fade, but they can still be identified by their lack of fin striping and often develop silver or bluish body patches from guanine deposits.
