Super active, young mature adults.  These fish are very active and always constantly moving.  Females are gold coloured and do not exhibit the red.

Long Finned Rosy Barbs (Pethia conchonius) are a beautiful and lively addition to the freshwater aquarium, known for their flowing, delicate fins and warm, rosy-pink coloration that becomes even more vibrant in males, especially during breeding. Long Finned Rosy Barbs prefer cooler tropical water conditions, with ideal parameters including a temperature range of 64-74°F (18-23°C), a pH of 6.5-7.5, and moderately soft to moderately hard water (5-15 dGH). They are active swimmers, so they appreciate a tank with ample space and good water flow. While they’re hardy and undemanding in terms of diet, it's important to note that they enjoy nibbling on soft-leaved live plants, so choose hardy species or consider using artificial plants if needed. With their graceful movements, social nature, and glowing appearance, Long Finned Rosy Barbs are both charming and rewarding fish for a peaceful community setup.
