​Koi angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare), a color variant of the freshwater angelfish, are cherished for their elegant beauty and distinctive patterns, featuring a blend of white, orange, and black hues. These fish typically reach a maximum size of about 6 inches (15 cm) in length, including their fins.

Care Requirements:

• Water Parameters: Koi angelfish thrive in warm, slightly acidic to neutral water conditions. Maintain a temperature range of 78°F to 84°F (25.5°C to 29°C) and a pH between 6.5 and 7.5. A gentle water flow is preferable, as they are not strong swimmers. ​

• Tank Setup: Provide a spacious aquarium of at least 55 gallons to accommodate their adult size, with a height that allows their fins to fully extend. Incorporate broad-leaved plants, driftwood, and vertical decorations to mimic their natural habitat. Including floating plants can offer shaded areas and additional cover.
