• Scavengers that feed on algae, biofilm, decaying organic matter, and can be supplemented with shrimp pellets, spirulina powder, and blanched vegetables.

Breeding:
Prolific breeders. Females develop a saddle formation for egg storage and carry eggs (known as "berried") for about two weeks until the shrimplets hatch.
