Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi)

Scientific Name: Neocaridina davidi Common Names: Cherry Shrimp, Red Cherry Shrimp, Fire Red Cherry Shrimp Family: Atyidae Distribution: Native to freshwater habitats in Taiwan

Description: The Fire Red Cherry Shrimp, also known as Paint Fire Red (PFR), is a high-grade variant of the Cherry Shrimp, selectively bred for its vibrant, deep red coloration. This shrimp is distinguished by its opaque, intense red body, setting it apart from regular Cherry Shrimp, which may have less pronounced red coloring. Ideal for planted tanks, the Fire Red Cherry Shrimp offers both beauty and utility.

Size: 0.75-1 inch Lifespan: 1-2 years

Care: Thrives in water with a pH of 7.2-7.6, prefers slightly harder water, and does best in temperatures ranging from 65-80°F. A low-flow, well-cycled tank with algae and biofilm is ideal.

Diet: Scavengers that feed on algae, biofilm, decaying organic matter, and can be supplemented with shrimp pellets, spirulina powder, and blanched vegetables. Breeding: Prolific breeders. Females develop a saddle formation for egg storage and carry eggs (known as "berried") for about two weeks until the shrimplets hatch.

Auction Details: You are bidding on 10+ Fire Red Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi), also known as Paint Fire Red (PFR) grade. You will receive 10 adult shrimp plus extras. This high-grade variety features a more intense red coloring, distinguishing them from standard Cherry Shrimp.
